The ViLi project aims to improve the performance and effectiveness of educators in higher education and vocational training. Within the framework of the project, the ways in which experienced educators use visual and video technologies will be explored, and interview data will be analysed using Informed Grounded Theory in order to develop a new theory.

The project’s key objectives are:

  • The design, development, and refinement of a series of Open Educational Resources (OER) that educators can use free of charge.
  • The delivery of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on visual and video literacies, open to everyone.

The pedagogical materials and OER can be freely reused by educators, professionals, and individuals working in human resources. The supportive learning community and the project’s WIKI will help ensure the sustainability of the resources produced.

  1. Enhancing educators’ skills in communicating through audiovisual graphics.

  2. Supporting the development and use of MOOCs in Europe through open educational resources.

  3. Producing papers for academic and practitioner conferences and journals, further expanding research and innovation in audiovisual graphics and MOOCs in education.

  4. Promoting lifelong learning and professional communication, strengthening competitiveness and modernising education, while advancing education for all.
