As a Back-end Operations Engineer (PHP Engineer), you will be responsible for supporting, optimizing, and continuously developing the server-side environment of our platform, with a focus on Moodle LMS and other CMS systems. You will work closely with Frontend Developers, UI/UX Designers, and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom features (plugins/modules) for Moodle LMS and other CMS platforms
- Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Integrate Moodle with third-party APIs or tools (e.g., CRM, SSO)
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Docker)
- Support server infrastructure management (Linux-based hosting, Apache/Nginx)
- Participate in technical analyses, debugging, and resolution of production issues
- Collaborate with the technical team on designing and implementing scalable solutions
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in back-end web application development
- Strong knowledge of PHP (ideally with Moodle or other LMS experience)
- Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla) at an extension/customization level
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker
- Good understanding of REST APIs and JSON
- Experience troubleshooting server-side issues (logs, performance, debugging)
- Knowledge of Moodle will be considered a significant advantage
- Bonus: Experience with DevOps or cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
